Fundraising
You can make a real difference for persecuted Christians by giving some cash. OK you might not have a big salary, but that doesn’t mean you can’t give something or do some fundraising.
A load of small donations go a long way. A gift of £2 for example buys a persecuted Christian a Bible.
SMS Donation
Text the word ‘help’ to 84424 and you’ll give £1.50 to help persecuted Christians – the money is taken off your credit/bill.
You can donate regularly:
- Text ‘help m’ to give a monthly SMS gift
- Text ‘help w’ to give a weekly gift
- To unsubscribe regular giving text ‘help off’

Raising money for Open Doors is serious business for a really serious cause, but you can have fun along the way. Here are some of our ideas, if you come up with your own please let us know and we’ll add them here…
Sell it on ebay
Wanting to get rid of some unwanted items? Sell them on ebay and send the money raised to Open Doors.
Auction of Promises
A great way to raise a pile of money! Host an auction (ideal for a youth group or church event) and ask people to volunteer things that can be auctioned off. Here are some suggestions: guitar/piano lesson; cook a three course meal; lawn mowing; car wash; baby sitting for an evening…
Bike ride
This is something you can do on your own or with some mates. Sort a route and get people to sponsor you.
Quiz night
Organise a quiz night, get teams to pay to play.
Chained
To raise awareness and money at the same time get some hand cuffs and chain yourself to a friend for a period of time. Useful tip choose a good friend!
